State officials say we’ve seen a 5-fold increase in Great White Shark sightings (off our California coast) over the past 3 years.
Fear not!
Despite the spike… experts maintain: the apex predators pose NO increased risk to humans.
They did reveal some SoCal hotspots for sharks across our coastline have changed.
In 2015, Long Beach was the top spot but in the past few months tagging data suggests a large uptick in sightings in Santa Barbara and San Diego!
