The 76th East LA Mexican Independence Day Parade and Festival is happening Sunday, Sept. 19, 2022.

This year, the theme of the parade is "United for strong physical and mental health," honoring heroes of the pandemic.

Grand Marshals include Dodgers legend Fernando Valenzuela and Katya Echazarreta, the first-ever Mexican-born woman to travel to space!

This annual event is the nation’s largest and oldest Latin parade in its 76th year.

The route runs down Cesar Chavez between Mednik and Gage Avenues.

Can't make it in person?

ABC7 will be broadcasting it live from 10 AM to noon.
